Diablo, CA
Home Prices: $950,000 to $5,000,000

The sleepy little town of Diablo, surrounded by the bigger town of Danville, is one of the most expensive areas in the United States. Old mansions, now renovated border the main road into the Diablo Country Club. At the turn of the 20th century, wealthy San Franciscans used to take the boat across the bay, then made their way to Diablo to spend the summer months in their vacation "manses" along with their family and servants. Leaving the cold and foggy climate of the San Francisco summer months, they would enjoy the countryside, the hills and their oak trees.

Diablo Country Club is still currently a very sought after club and the gold course is indeed beautiful. More and more houses have been built on the hills and Diablo is a very exclusive little town. There is a tiny post office that has been discovered and therefore used by many surrounding residents.
